Mean people are mean.
Well today was a crummy day. I left work to discover that some mean person hadbroken into my car and stolen my cool Sony stereo. I work at a place that hasa lot of security cameras, so the guards are going to review the tapes and see ifthey can find out what happened. What a bummer. But it was only a stereo,no loss of anything that was really important. Except my cool stereo that Ireally liked. Grrrrrrr. Mean people should just stay home.

Pork of the sea??

Ok, it’s late and I’ve had waaay to much coffee. But I have a few questions.
I was thinking about JessicaSimpson’s stupidity. Evidently she didn’t know that Chickenof the Sea was tuna and not chicken. But can you blame her? What kindof wacky name is Chicken of the Sea anyway? If tuna is chicken of the sea, what’spork of the sea? And what’s tuna of the land, chicken? Are appleschicken of the tree?
If Chicken of the Sea tuna is dolphinsafe, is Tyson Chicken ducksafe? Have ducks been unintentionally killed by the chicken people? Isanyone doing anything about this?
And on a different subject, how many fingers do you have? I have 8 fingers and2 thumbs. But a lot of people think we have 10 fingers and count the thumbsas fingers. So is a thumb a finger too? Does this mean that the hand hasa class system where thumbs are fingers but aren’t good enough to be called fingers? Do they have the same rights as fingers? I don’t think they are fingers at all. Thumbs are thumbs.
Just think what would happen if common thumb phrases got mixed up. Instead of a “thumbingyour nose” or having a “green thumb” you’d have a “green finger”, most likelyfrom ”fingering your nose.”
My friend Jeff disagrees with me about thumbs. In fact he gets hysterical aboutit. “Thumbs are fingers!”, he yells at me. Well if thumbsare fingers then I’d like to give him a big “thumbs up” - with my middle thumb.
Now I’m going to bed.

Taxes
Well I finished my taxes with an hour to spare! I can’t believe how much ofmy paycheck goes to the government. Ouch. But I do enjoy my streets, cleanwater, garbage pickup, having a police and fire station close by, etc… I stillthink taxes are too high, but I can’t complain too much.
I spent a few weeks in Asia a few years ago. I was amazed at how little somecountries had as far as infrastructure goes. No pavement, no public schools,no street signs, corrupt police… It was bad. I have to keep reminding myselfthat I live in a great place, have a great job, and should feel lucky that I’m ableto pay taxes at all.
Now that I’ve said all that I need to go get some shoe boxes so I can start keepingtrack of all my receipts. There has to be a way to increase my itemized deductions!

What’s going on?
If you’ve noticed that my blog entries are getting fewer and fewer it’s because I’vebeen busier and busier. Here are a few things that have happened in the pastcouple of weeks:
- Cecil’s daughter Brandy was married! I was able to go to the wedding and shootsome video for her. It was a great experience.
- My friend Jacqueline is finally back home after spending months in Philidelphia filmingHack. Diane, Dana, and I were able to meet her for a quick lunch and catch up. John is out of town right now, but we plan on seeing him again too.
- I’m still working on my short film. My script ideas are coming together. I’m just beginning to work on the first draft and suspect it’s going to take a whileto get it all finished. This could become a big time burner.
- Desiree and Jim got married! My good friend Desiree was married a coupleof weeks ago. It was a wonderful wedding and it was a blast to be a partof it. Once again I was able to shoot some video and am working on her DVD.
- Sean and Jamie got married! Yeay! This happened last weekend. Theywere married at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens. Diane and I really hadfun at this wedding. I really enjoyed hearing “Peanuts” being played as Seanand Jamie walked out as a new couple.
I’ve also been shooting a lot with my camera, working on my yard (I have new plantsin my front yard), and trying to keep up with a busy schedule at work.So now you know the latest scoop. Tell me what’s up with you!

The Human Sentence
Have you ever met someone who’s name is a sentence? I’ve met a few, I call them Human Sentences. Here are a few samples:
- Carrie Kenney - he’s not heavy, he’s my brother.
- Justin Thyme - he’s never late.
- Paul Shanks - he’s a bad golpher.
- Dave Shook - he’s always cold.
- Josh Works - so we don’t have to.
- Jeff Burns - this one is really funny because he married Kim Wood, so she became Kim Wood-Burns. If you’re a little more progressive her name is Kim Burns-Wood!
Sometimes you find one that isn’t technically a sentence, but phonetically you can claim it as a Human Sentence. My brother found one just today: Justin Hale.
Do you know of any Human Sentences? Please send me an e-mail so I can add them to the list.
